The Mersey Community Hospital COVID-19 Ward staff have been working around the clock to care for unwell patients in the North West. They take it all in their stride as just doing their job, but we all know their commitment runs much deeper than this – they are simply incredible!

This week the Royal Hobart Hospital’s Reception, Patient Admissions and Transit Lounge opened in K-Block.

While COVID-19 protections are in place restricting visitors to the hospital we thought you might like to have a virtual look inside!

Patients and visitors to Mersey Community Hospital will notice a striking new sign as they enter the car park.

The sign, an eye-catching nurse figure which reflects in bright blue, has been installed by the hospital auxiliary to celebrate their 70th anniversary.

Bushfire smoke is likely to continue impacting air quality in Tasmania.

If you have asthma or a chronic health condition, it’s important to follow asthma or health plans.

A new lung function laboratory was officially opened at the NWRH earlier this week, thanks to a generous donation from local NW businessesman Dale Elphinstone.

The new lab means that patients will no longer need to travel to Launceston to undertake lung function testing.

Launceston General Hospital midwives have bared all – well almost all – for a good cause.

They stripped off to make a calendar to raise money for Cancer Council TAS. The calendar is $20 from Rhubarb for Gifts' stores at Invermay and Riverside.
