153 years ago today, Joséphine Bowes bought this mechanical mouse while she was in London. This automaton was a gift for John's 60th birthday and may have had an extra special meaning for them as John called Joséphine 'Puss'.

Join Hanna Tuulikki on Saturday 11th May 2pm-4pm, for a screening of the film documenting ‘Away with the Birds’ on the Isle of Canna followed by a performance lecture on Hanna’s embodied research into the mimesis of birds in Scottish Gaelic song.
