Jon Langford & the Bright Shiners' Where It Really Starts’ is out now ! Jon’s most engaging album outside Mekons, and you can still get the coloured vinyl variant (exclusively from Bandcamp)

And great news! Jon and the gang will be performing in the UK in May. Get out to a gig!

I remember Langford's work in an exhibit at World Tattoo Gallery in the early '90s. My first wife had a piece in the same show. The Mekons

Bingeing …
their never version of ‘Help Me Make it Through the Night’ - unbelievably I have never heard this before.

Though The Mekons do the best version live. Heartlovingly beautiful.

I’ll never forget the re-staged fight at Mekonville!

The Paranoid Style Seeing them in 1987 at CBGB's was a revelation--one of those shows that changes everything. I wouldn't have wagered then that they'd still be around in 1997, let alone making great music almost 40 years later. I pinch myself every time I see one iteration or another.
