Interested in the effect of cross-class exposure on attitudes toward redistribution?

In a new paper in British Jnl Poli Sci, Kim Sønderskov, Peter Thisted Dinesen, and I find that local exposure to poor individuals reduces support for redistribution among the well-off.

Who remembers 'stranger danger'? Along with generations of British schoolchildren, I was taught to trust less. But in the Nordic countries? Less so. Thanks to Gert Tinggaard Svendsen Peter Thisted Dinesen for kick-starting my education into Danish trust 4th Estate Books

New paper on refugee policy preferences in 10 EU Member States, with Dawid Walentek, Peter Thisted Dinesen and Ulf Liebe. We show that there is a broad support in Europe for refugees’ right to work, while their allocation across countries is fairly unimportant tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…
