Update 9:55 pm. The 50-year-old suspect on Desperado Dr SE was taken into custody with minor injuries. Gunfire was exchanged during this incident, however no Law Enforcement personnel were injured. The Region 3 Critical Incident Investigation Team will conduct the investigation.

At approximately 10:30 this morning, TCSO Deputies responded to an address at the 7100 block of Desperado Dr SE in Tumwater to carry out an eviction. The sole male occupant barricaded himself in the home. TCSO SWAT is on scene. Please avoid the area.

Freezing rain is causing hazardous road conditions all over Thurston County. Law Enforcement and Fire personnel are responding to multiple collisions along I-5 and SR-8. Conditions are expected to worsen overnight and into the early morning. Please stay home if possible.

21-Year-Old Woman Killed in Early Morning Homicide.

TCSO Detectives are investigating a homicide at the Copper Wood Apartments off of Martin Way. A male subject who was involved in this incident has been detained at an address in Pierce County. This is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public at this time.

All clear at Rochester HS. Information will be released soon from TCSO and Rochester School District.
