First Class 90s for scrap: DB Cargo UK has sold eight long-stored Class 90s at Crewe to local scrap merchants Sandbach Commercial Dismantlers. 90030 and 90033 have already made the one way journey and 90038 was the third to follow this afternoon. 📷 Cliff Beeton
There’s not long left for the 507s on Merseyrail - with the Wirral Line fully 777 operated today there were just the 3 pairs (015/029, 016/028 & 023/033) on the Southport-Hunts X line to photograph, and a quick look at celebrity 507001 which was visible in the sidings at SOP
Great to spend the day around Birmingham today and see the first Class 730 CrossCity diagram that started on Monday. Thanks to West Midlands Railway for hosting a visit to Soho depot to look at the outgoing 323s & there was also a chance meeting with the legendary Hunslet bear🐻 (& Soho Depot) !
