Breaking: New record high water level in Portland Harbor.

Here comes the midday high tide. Surge is currently running about 3 feet. Gonna make a run at the all-time record high water level in Portland Harbor.

at Trundy Beach in Cape Elizabeth. NEWS CENTER Maine team is on the scene working to get info on the crew.

Not looking good for the coast on Saturday. Historically high water levels expected again. More road closures, beach erosion and risk to waterfront property. Do what you can to shore things up.

Not trying to be an alarmist, but the astro tide, Saturday around Noon, is the biggest tide of the month. It's possible that the damage could be worse than today's. Pray that the storm's timing shifts between now and then.

Looks like the Portland tide crested around 13.8', one of the highest ever.

A 3+' storm surge with this incoming tide. Some shore and marsh roads will get water and debris and may need to be closed through the middle of the day. Beaches will take a beating from large breakers too.

Light, fluffy snow on the way Saturday night and Sunday, most of it falls in Southern Maine. However, I'm WAY more concerned about next Wednesday. Heavier precip (mostly rain) and stronger wind gusts too.

This a very positive trend

If strength and path don't change, first thing Monday morning could get a bit wild with windswept rain, power outages and some coastal flooding. I'm watching it closely.
