Catching up on Trudeau govt's new fed budget: there's much to celebrate re-higher ed, including a significant (overdue & vital) increase in PhD stipends. $40k is still below many US peers & in cities like Toronto it's the bare minimum, but a good start caut.ca/latest/2024/04…

✈️ off to Europe! Will be in Oslo at ARENA Centre for European Studies from April 17-May 8 to work w/ colleagues in the ENROL project, then in Bruxelles from May 8-25 to do archival research for a book project w/ R. Daniel Kelemen. Looking forward to reconnecting w/ friends in 2 cities where I’ve lived!
