Subtidal seawater datasets - 2023. Most seawater data are based on sea surface temperatures & there's a lack of depth-resolved info from shallow areas. Tritonia - Providing Underwater Clarity maintain 2 logging stations @ 10m and 30m. Highest daily avg temp for 10m & 30m were both recorded in 2023 (red)

Despite pretty awful sea state and visibility, was great to get the 2024 MBA scientific diving season up and running with some training/refresher dives. This is an extraordinary find. The blue carbon benefits are one thing, but the #biodiversity that a maerl bed this size must support is even more significant. I hope its future protection is assured.
