During Irene's pregnancy, an MRI revealed a large mass on her baby's neck that could affect the baby's ability to breathe.

A multidisciplinary team of UCLA Health physicians assembled & performed a rare operation called an ex-utero intrapartum treatment, or EXIT. Read more:

At just two years old, Olivia embarked on the biggest fight of her life.

Born with a rare congenital heart disease, she had already persevered through several surgical interventions, but she needed more. She needed a new heart.
