Happy to have taken part in this two day training organized by UCOBAC Stand4HerLand-UG towards achieving #womenlandrights @WLRM-UG

Day 2 of the Training of Trainers on gender transformatives approaches is now in full swing.

The training has commenced with Caroline Kayanja, an SPO at UCOBAC facilitating a session on Gender, social norms and Women Land Rights.

The training is participatory, with participants currently actively engaged in a group activity discussing civil and political rights among others.

The second session of the training has commenced with Carolyn Kayanja leading a discussion on the SYFF tool modules. The 1st module provides an insightful introduction to WLRs, exploring the current legal frameworks and the roles of various land management institutions.

According to the CSOs, COP28 failed to address key financing needs such as the funding support required for an energy transition and the increased financing support for Adaption - Only procedural issues were agreed on by parties ActionAid International Uganda UN Climate Change ClimateActionNetwork

Happening now: Training of trainers on gender transformative approaches to secure women’s land rights. The participants in the training represent selected districts from the four regions in Uganda.
