The Office for National Statistics (ONS) recently released data showing #AlcoholSpecificDeaths in 2022 were 4.2% higher than in 2021 and 32.8% higher than in 2019.

🧵 Today, Office for National Statistics (ONS) has published its annual report on alcohol-specific deaths. The report found that in 2022 there were 10,048 deaths from alcohol-specific causes registered in the UK, the highest number on record.

The latest Office for National Statistics (ONS) #Alcohol Specific Deaths Figures for the UK show another record high number of deaths at 10,048.
The data confirms that deaths have risen at a slower rate in Scotland than England, likely due to the protective effective of #MUP .
