With impeccable timing we've arrived to find our first study species on eggs
,laid today. Spot the Shag. Given the devastating winter for the east coast shag population its no surprise this is a month later than 2023 but earlier than we were predicting given how few have nests.

How cool is that! While there are many undescribed moths in the neotropics, it feels pretty special to rediscover a species not since it was described 100y ago :-)) This rediscovery was made while deploying AMI systems on the BCI tropical research station of the Smithsonian
