Day 2 of the UNODC regional conference on cross-border cooperation on human trafficking and migrant smuggling in the Horn of Africa in 🇰🇪. Panelists share insights on how financial investigations, border management, and joint investigations contribute in combating TIP and SOM.

Effective cross-border judicial cooperation can play a big role in combating human trafficking and migrant smuggling in the Horn of Africa. Multi-agency representatives shared the relevant mechanisms used to improved response to human trafficking and migrant smuggling cases.

Today, UNODC is hosting over 80 representatives from 🇪🇹🇩🇯🇨🇩🇰🇪🇸🇴🇸🇸🇺🇬 in a regional conference on cross-border cooperation in Mombasa 🇰🇪. For the next 3 days, participants will exchange on how to better prevent/counter human trafficking and migrant smuggling in the Horn of Africa.
