We are heartbroken to report that one of our own, Jacob Toukhy, was tragically killed last night in Jaffa. To Jacob’s family, we and USAID West Bank/Gaza send our deepest condolences; we mourn alongside you. Jacob was a valued member of our embassy community for over two decades.

The USAID-supported field hospital in southern Gaza provides life-saving emergency and outpatient care to around 600 individuals daily. Greater access to critical care is vital for saving lives.

NEW MAP: Famine is imminent in N. Gaza and there is a serious risk of Famine for the rest of Gaza, according to the newest food security report. The 🇺🇸 is working to provide food via land, air, and sea, but there must be more open routes into Gaza to get food to people in need.
