Douglas Station agents arrested Marco Antonio Bello-Portillo after he attempted to re-enter the U.S. illegally on April 16. The Mexican national was previously convicted of child molestation in #Indiana . He faces criminal immigration charges. #BorderSecurity

4/16: Brian A. Terry Station agents observed suspected migrants enter a sedan along a remote area near Hereford, AZ. Agents conducted a vehicle stop which led to the arrest of two U.S. citizens, four migrants, and the seizure of two firearms. #Vigilance

4/15: Three Points Station agents observed an #SUV drive over the international boundary fence using ramps near Newfield, AZ. Agents encountered the vehicle and arrested five migrants attempting to flee. Great work intercepting the smuggling attempt!

Smuggling migrants in a vehicle trunk is extremely dangerous, especially as temperatures begin to rise in Arizona.

4/7: Willcox Station agents rescued smuggled migrants from inside a trunk at a gas station following a #K9Alert . The driver, a U.S. citizen faces criminal charges.

A U.S. citizen faces criminal charges following his arrest for human smuggling near Bisbee, AZ. A Brian A. Terry Station agent conducted a stop on a rental vehicle and found smuggled migrants inside the sedan. A loaded firearm was also seized. Great work!

4/6: USBP agents from the Willcox Station responded to a group of suspected migrants detected by border technology in a remote area near the Chiricahua Mtns. Agents tracked and arrested 7 migrants with assistance from . All apprehended migrants were repatriated.

4/5: Brian A. Terry Station agents conducted a vehicle stop on this rented SUV and found three smuggled migrants hiding on the floorboards and cargo area. The migrants along with the U.S. citizen driver were arrested.

USBP agents encountered a suspicious vehicle at a gas station in Cochise County with several occupants wearing camouflage. Two U.S. citizens were arrested after it was determined they were smuggling 8 migrants. A stolen firearm was recovered and turned over to @arizona_dps.

Arturo Arteaga-Salinas was one of five smuggled migrants arrested by Three Points Station agents in a smuggling event on April 7. The Mexican national has felony convictions for sex crimes including sodomy and lewd and lascivious acts w/a child under 14. He faces prosecution.

4/7: Three Points Station agents worked together to interdict a tandem smuggling attempt near Sells, AZ. A total of 5 smuggled migrants were found in both vehicles along w/ firearms + personal use narcotics. 3 U.S. citizen smugglers, all with criminal history, face prosecution.

Nogales Station agents seized $158k worth of fentanyl pills on April 8.

While on patrol, agents searched an abandoned backpack near the international boundary fence line and discovered three packages of fentanyl pills, totaling 21 lbs. in weight. Outstanding work!

4/8: USBP agents responded to a 911 call near Chupan Mtn. and located a Mexican national suffering from a severe leg injury. In a joint effort, personnel with @arizona_dps, @cbpamo, BORSTAR and Ajo Station agents safely extracted the migrant to an awaiting ambulance. #SavingLives

3/28: Three Points Station agents arrested 2 U.S. citizens smuggling migrants following a stop conducted by the Tohono O’odham PD near Sells, AZ. Records revealed the driver has an extensive criminal history and is a registered sex offender. Both smugglers face criminal charges.

4/2: A Tucson BORSTAR agent assisted @arizona_dps air crew in the rescue of a hiker in distress in the Granite Mtns near Yarnell, AZ. The paramedic agent provided treatment and stabilized the 69 y/o man before he was air extracted and flown to a hospital in Phoenix, AZ.
