Avid world traveler Sophia Agnihotri, then 58, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019. Mya C. Schiess, MD, with McGovern Med School, UTHealthNeurosciences, and UT Physicians enrolled her in an innovative clinical trial in 2021.

Philanthropy allows scholarship recipient Stephen Farmer, a PhD student at MD Anderson-UTH Grad, to pursue bench-to-bedside research. He hopes to one day run his own lab and train students as they work to discover critical breakthroughs for patients with neurodegenerative disorders.
