This symposium brings together educators and students from UTMB Health, BCMHouston, McGovern Med School, MD Anderson Cancer Center and University of Houston Fertitta Family COM.

Day 4 & 5 🇰🇪: The UTMB Global Health team celebrated the impactful journey of Sodzo International with the children of Watoto wa Ahadi Rescue Center & women of the Kuja Pamoja kwa Jamii program. We marked the 8th anniversary by planting trees and engaging with the community.

UTMB's global health team met with Chuka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mutembei and his leadership team to strengthen partnerships & enhance training, research, and programs. Aiming to benefit students, faculty, and the wider academic community.
Faculty member @emtumilty.bsky.social recently spoke on this panel of artists regarding ethical considerations for AI & Art ran by Vision Galveston Galveston ArtsCenter and Broadway to the Bay.
Led by the Institute for Translational Sciences along with UTMB Center for Addiction Sciences and Therapeutic, faculty member @emtumilty.bsky.social will be in great company on a panel talking about the important issue of stigma in healthcare related to addiction and mental health. The UTMB Global Health team met with Kijabe Hospital leaders, including Dr. Jon Fielder and Dr. Arianna Shrik. They explored the facility's renowned advanced surgery and neonatal care services and discussed future collaborations. #GlobalHealth #UTMB #KijabeHospital
Day 1 of the UTMB Health #onehealth conference - started with some great presentations from the food industry regarding food security, emerging disease control, and policy implementation.
