Israeli forces withdrew from al-Shifa hospital after a 2-week siege, leaving behind charred ruins and hundreds of bodies. The images are beyond belief. Eyewitnesses speak of executions, torture, starvation, corpses crushed by bulldozers. This is not war but annihilation.

Al Jazeera has been one of the only reliable and consistent news outlets in Gaza showing us the death and destruction every step of the way. Every journalist and person of conscience should be outraged right now.

Canada must speak up now.

Now they’re bombing orphanages. There really aren’t words left to describe this cruelty, or to describe the moral bankruptcy of people who defend these monstrous policies.

This one crisis, this one instance of unimaginable terror, would stop and mobilize an entire community where you live. In Gaza, where the U.S. and Israel have decided no humans exist, it’s a daily reality.

The Israeli military is taking Palestinians in groups of 3-10 people at a time, and executing them, inside of a hospital.
