Richard Garber joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1955.

He lost his life 12 years later, when the plane he was in crashed during a training flight, killing him and five other airmen.

Garber left behind his wife and their two children.

Flying Officer Allan Bundy—Canada’s first Black combat pilot.

Bundy served with RCAF No. 404 Squadron in Europe during the #SWW . He overcame racial discrimination and broke down barriers for those who followed.

David Blackburn joined the Canadian Armed Forces and served in the Gulf War, Bosnia and Winnipeg.

He was medically released in 2011 and currently works to help people, including fellow Veterans, find jobs.
