Exciting news from the interim analysis of the Phase 3 trial of a factor B inhibitor (iptacopan) in IgA Nephropathy ( #IgAN ), demonstrating a significant reduction⬇️ in proteinuria.

The approval of inhibitors of #complementbiollogy for IgAN would be a milestone in #nephrology .

I am so excited for our IgAN pts that the #APPLAUSE trial of #iptacopan found a significant proteinuria reduction at pre-specified interim analysis by Novartis : novartis.com/news/media-rel…. I am proud to co-chair the trial with Jonathan Barratt - hopefully regulatory approval soon!
