Year 5 hard at work identifying writing skills in our model text.

During our mindfulness session today, we tried different mindful activities and rated them: guided visualisation, mandala colouring, moving our bodies and listening to music. We also wrote down our worries, came up with solutions and then screwed them up and recycled them!

The caterpillars have arrived! As we learn about the life cycle of a butterfly in our wriggle and crawl topic, our new class pets will help bring the learning to life. Warstones Primary

Year 6 have completed a piece of collaborative art in their Mindfulness Monday sessions. Can you see the famous face?😀The children built their resilience by working hard as a team. Now, they are rewarded by seeing the end product and feeling a sense of pride!

Today the children were learning how to use four figure grid references on an ordnance survey map to locate places of interest or geographical features! 🕵️‍♂️🌍

Today Year 6 revised their maths skills by going on a scavenger hunt! They solved maths problems to reveal the coordinates, where a letter was waiting for them. Then, they unscrambled the letters to reveal a phrase! Well done to our winners! Excellent effort from all! 😁

Nursery children have enjoyed accessing the role play area this term. This term we are talking about the importance of caring for the natural world, including animals.

What a memorable afternoon we have had for the start of our new wriggle and crawl topic! We went on a mini-beast hunt and found multiple varieties of micro habitats for invertebrate to live in! It was awesome! 🐛🐞🪲🪱🐌🪰 Warstones Primary

These children really excelled when the DT team set them the challenge of designing and making a raft that would float when placed in water. A truly Titanic effort, as these children sailed into the final stages of the competition!⛵️
