Hon. Hon. Rashid Echesa today chaired a board retreat in Naivasha. PS Eng. Festus K. Ng'eno, Ministry of Environment, Climate Change & Forestry joined the Board of Directors in the retreat that reviewed the progress made on amending the Forest Management and Conservation Act, 2016.

World Wetlands Day Celebrations at Lake Narasha (Timboroa Dam), Uasin Gishu County. CEO Prof. Julius Tanui led a team of staff to participate in the event today.

Kenya Water Towers Agency signs an MoU with Mama Doing Good Initiative. This is aimed at producing 3 million tree seedlings. KWTA donated 3 million bags for the nursery establishment across the county by women and youth. Mama Doing Good has over 200,000 registered members.

Prof Julius Tanui, joins the HOPS Mr. Felix Kosgey for the National Tree Growing season launch at Bomas, Ngong Forest. Board Director Ms. Rose Ombaki represented the Board of the Agency while a team of staff members were led by the CEO in planting over 15,000 trees.

Prof. Julius Tanui, CEO, today joined Mr. Felix Kosgey, the Head of Public Service and Chief of Staff in a tree planting drive at Kapkongony Swamp in Nandi County. 5,000 tree seedlings planted and 10,000 distributed to the locals. The agency donated one million potting bags.

Chairman Hon. Hon. Rashid Echesa earlier joined the Prime Cabinet Secretary and CS for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Hon Musalia W Mudavadi for restoration and rehabilitation of Maragoli Hills in Vihiga County. Kenya Water Towers Agency donated 1.5 million potting bags for tree nurseries.

Happening Now: Chairman, Hon. Hon. Rashid Echesa chairing a full board meeting at KWTA Boardroom, NHIF building in Nairobi. The Board is receiving and reviewing reports from HR & Corporate Affairs, Finance, Technical & Strategy, and Audit committees for quarter four (April-June 2023).

Tecla Loroupe, the famous marathoner had engagements with CEO Prof. Julius Tanui on possible partnership in conserving water towers. Tecla is a member of the Kenya Academy of Sports and Chair of the Tecla Loroupe Foundation.

Hon. Rashid Echesa, Chairman today joined the CS Ministry of Environment, Climate Change & Forestry Hon. Soipan Tuya during the Performance Contract 2023-2024 signing ceremony. He signed the contract on behalf of the Board of Directors of the Agency and committed to its full implementation.

Hon. Rashid Echesa, Chairman Kenya Water Towers Agency today joined H.E. Dr. William Samoei Ruto at 7th Edition of Kaptagat Annual Tree Planting. The event culminated in Thanks Giving Ceremony for Dr. Chris Kiptoo at St. Alphonsus Mutei Girls Secondary School grounds.
