It was nice to see the Slavonian Grebe this evening at Far Ings. Poor lighting made #digiscoping rather difficult though.

Exciting morning with this Hawfinch feeding in the yew tree in our garden. Very elusive and eventually flew off west at 13.50.

The female Ring-necked Duck still present at Messingham Sand Quarries today. A heavily cropped #digiscoping shot with the bird frustratingly spending all of its time at the back of the lake Lincsbirders.org Lincsbirding .

This local Kestrel showed extremely well. It had a metal ring on the right leg but unfortunately couldn't quite read it.

Opposite my place of work in Scunthorpe are a couple of Rowan trees which I have said for years will attract some Waxwings, well today was that day when 2 were seen. They brightened up a dull, wet and windy morning.

finally laid a 46 year local Pallid Swift rejection to bed with 2 over Barton Pits this am; always high and in bright or grey sky - very much record shots

1 of 2 Pallid Swift at Far Ings, Barton this afternoon. We got a call of a swift sp drifting east at Barton, N. Lincs so shot down and quickly relocated it. After watching it for a good while I found a 2nd bird with both drifting out over the Humber at 16.30 Lincsbirding .
