Gibraltar Point sightings from yesterday (29th April) with updated figures from last night. A massive day for Wheatear with 154 recorded (including a flock of 66!), 4 Redstart in the East Dunes and a drake Garganey on Croft Marsh Lincsbirding BirdGuides

A bird I've been wanting to find for years, and it finally happened today. After a long, quiet walk in the dunes, I went to Elm House Farm to check fences for chats. Just as I got there, this Wryneck flew up from the track edge and landed next to my car! RareBirdAlertUK

At least 54 Whimbrel on the northern saltmarsh at Saltfleetby-Theddlethorpe Dunes NNR yesterday evening, with a few more also scattered across local wet grassland. An underrated bird, and one of my favourites Wader Quest

An excellent arrival of Wheatear at Gibraltar Point this evening with a massive 124 birds counted! 16 around the visitor centre and 108 around the north end saltings. Short-eared Owl, 11 Yellow Wag, 8 White Wag and 12 Whimbrel also of note Lincsbirding
