4.22.24, WFD was alerted to report of a bldg fire just after 7:00 P.M., Lincoln/GWB. Firehouses 2 and 11 arrived to find smoke/flames showing from the roof. Fire was quickly extinguished and held to the utilities with no extension to the interior of the structure. #ictbravest

1:53 a.m., two-alarm fire, E. Boston. 7 occupants jumped to safety. Fire crews had to cut through the walls upstairs to access the fire due to the walkway not being stable. Cause of the fire is due to an improperly disposed cigarette. #wichitaFD

Crews from Sta 15 & Truck 3 were sent to an assist a citizen call at the McDonalds at Harry/Rock earlier today. We're happy to report crews successfully rescued the ducklings from the storm drain. #wichitafd

A little excitement on the east side today at Marshall’s deparment store loading dock. Fire was contained inside the trash compactor. Rescue 2 was able to move the container away from the building to keep it from spreading. #wichitaFD
