In her ethnographic study, Andersson exposed how (high school) students **perform the role** of information literate pupil in the classroom (here: feigning preference for vetted search strategies). Food for thought when we design entry level digital skill training courses.

We had a great talk in our SSLIS, iSchool seminar today, where Cecilia Andersson presented her PhD research on ‘Performing Search. Search engines and mobile devices in the everyday life of young people’ (available in Open Access via portal.research.lu.se).

After today’s session of our research group’s monthly meetings where Julia Pennlert (‘expert on self promotion’ qtd. meeting chair Björn Hammarfelt) talked about using twitter as an academic, I’ll try to be a bit more active on here again, now that I’m getting settled in the new job.
