We want to thank everyone who attended our art exhibition launch on Wednesday.
The exhibition is in The Playhouse, 5-7 Artillery Street, and is open to the public from Monday 23rd to Wednesday 25th of May from 10am to 3pm.

Yesterday we had our first session of our 2022 Synergy TBUC Camp!
We spent the day getting to know each other, creating a group contract, and playing some 'minute to win it' games.

Our third day focused on good relations,we went to the tower museum to learn about the history of Derry~Londonderry.Synergy is a Together Uniting Communities project funded by The Northern Ireland Executive, The Education Authority, and TBUC Camps.

Today we worked on our Social Action Project.

Our theme this year is “Taking young people seriously”.

We ended the session with a table quiz.

We had a fantastic trip to Doagh Famine Village.We learnt about life in old Ireland, the famine and the troubles and seen an Orange Hall. The best parts were definitely the Safe House and the Haunted House.
We also had a quick trip to the beach nearby!

We were delighted to have been asked to facilitate some good relations sessions as part of Life Summer Camp!
Using the example of Columba, the children and young people learnt about the importance of peace and how everyone can see things differently.

We are extremely proud of all of the young people who

more respectful and tolerant towards other people and
lasting friendships have been formed!

Our Youth Committee had their very first meeting last night. We discussed the function of the committee and the various roles. We played team games including minefield to establish and develop relationships.

Our Thursday group had a fun session with artist Sinead Smyth. They got to use charcoal and learnt about the different textures it produces and did some self-portraits exploring identity.
