Congratulations to one of the best journalists I've ever had the honour of working with and calling a friend. Bethany Lindsay I'm so excited for you and your next chapter but you'll be deeply missed here at CBC. Thanks for making the hard days manageable. You are incredible!

In Morocco today (not for work) and the single most shocking thing happened...Issam, a shop owner tucked away in a Marrakech souk asked me if I was Zahra Premji from CBC Vancouver!

Spent the morning at The Ismaili Centre Vancouver for a beautiful story about #Ramadan and charity for CBC British Columbia (stay tuned tonight at 6&11PM on TV & YouTube), but I’d be lying if I didn’t say my heart feels so heavy for my community today. Prayers with our Lisbon Ismailis ❤️

This is where we pray, where we come to find peace, our children attend religious classes, our grandparents socialize with their peers…if we can’t feel safe in our own place of prayer (and during #Ramadan ), where is it safe for us? My heart is with my Ismaili community today ❤️
