NY Task Force 1 has been activated & deployed to New Hampshire in anticipation of inclement weather, including flooding & high winds from Hurricane Lee. The forty-six person team consists of members of the NYPD, FDNY, & OEM, & includes two canines.

#PortNewark Channel has reopened to all vessels as of 5 pm, July 9. Vessels are requested to give slow bells and transit with caution. Fire fighting efforts continue & the vessel remains stable. Response planning and efforts are progressing toward the next phase of operations.

As response efforts for the #PortNewark vessel fire continue, the vessel is stable at a list of 1.9 degrees. Specialists are continuing to perform air monitoring around the vessel. Hazardous levels have not been indicated in the surrounding areas.
