A true cost exchange ratio is not as simple as cost per intercept vs cost of projectile. One has to factor in what the interceptor is defending. The cost of protecting a civilian neighborhood for example. Or cost of defending an airbase with kit. Be wary of simple comparisons

The supporting assets for USAF fighter defense ring the region … not just in Jordan. The legacy of these bases date back to Earnest Will and Gulf War 1 and remains important for regional contingencies

Modern fighter forces have the kit and tools for the counter drone mission … was well known before this and reaffirmed again with another case study

So did we set a new standard for ace after Marine Corps aviation did work in the Bab Al Mandeb? If so, may be a lot more after tonight …

The open questions now are how many Iranian drones squirt through what appears to be a layered defense of fighters on DCA along expected flight corridors + missile defense. Followed then by whether the IAF hits launch points.

When thousands are leaving and claiming asylum for economic/political reasons in the West, perhaps we should've seen a massive backlash coming in a local election where real issues are discussed/debated (and calling your opponent a terrorist just wont cut it).
