Matt 🏳️🌈 ♿️ Northern 🚆 Unfortunately, that’s what happens when disabled people are not involved from the start with inclusive design + DfT prioritises capacity over accessibility
195 order was before Northern had an accessibility team or user group
One of the two wheelchair space on Northern 🚆 #Class195 /1 unit. My wheelchair and I are parked in the other space, hoping no other #DisabledRailUser needs to board…
These CAF units are great for outer suburban routes, but not well suited to regional and airport trips.
Thank you to everyone who came along to the #RepairCafe today and made it another great success. And welcome back to Fran from Stratford Town Trust as a host!
The next Repair Cafe will be on Sat 1st June at the same venue.
Great few days at the Assemblies of God GB national conference. Was good catch up with a few other Police Chaplaincy UK who were in the chaplaincy breakout session. Dave from Wiltshire Police Catie-Anne from Derbyshire Police & Shirley from Leicestershire Police
Keep up the great service to policing 🙌
Lots being done by West Midlands Police Benevolent Fund Charity for their members, a small payment gives many benefits especially in their 50th year. Since my retirement after injury on duty they paid for adaptations to my cars + more recently have supplied B5 Ottobock UK wheelchairs with Police Care UK
When it comes to inclusivity & accessibility organisations shout from the rooftops how important it is…really? So why r we still waiting for the #AccessforAll programme for CP7 from Department for Transport - it should have been published by 1 April - can Huw Merriman MP get it published?
Those involved living with or involved with #Accessibility issues please note here’s another example of virtue signalling when it suits is at odds with the reality of the continued low/no priority given to #Accessibility and the real people it affects
