This is India. Reverence of nature is its pride. Its nature its heritage, its wildlife its spiritual companion. This loris receives obeisance (a tikka) from this sweet family & while the fight to stop poaching & destruction of nature continues, these little acts keep faith alive.

This is what reverence for life looks like. And coexistence with wildlife is achievable. A certain someone has something to learn here.

Kudos to the beach managers at Wayangani.

A steel fishing hook was stuck in the mouth of an olive ridley turtle that had come for nesting at Wayangani Beach in Vengurla. Beach managers Suhas & Jayanand Toraskar removed the hook after female laid her eggs & released the turtle into the sea.
