We had a great session in the sun at LawrenceHillGPs yesterday planting potatoes, putting a sign up for the wildlife area, making recycled bunting (thanks, Children's Scrapstore), potting up strawbs and potting on a 1000 snapdragon, spinach and aubergine seedlings! π₯π±π¦
Thank you to all the young people and care settings that took part in our #CrackAYolk Easter campaign! We exchanged hundreds of jokes and garlands across North Somerset and ran some brilliant school workshops.
It's been such a joy to spread some laughter across the ages. π
The other week our Charity of the Year, Alive Activities, opened their brand new allotments in South Bristol!
Some of the team went down to check it out and show our support!
Congratulations and keep up the good workπ

#Hoppiness today. Lavender and hop bags and planting up the hops. Great words #apricity ('sun in winter') and #petrichore . A rise and swell of conversation around the table and 'show me the way to go home' at the end. Joyful. Alive Activities ALIVEgardening Brigstow Institute
'The power of community!'. In case you missed it, listen to us chatting about our new dementia-friendly allotment with Joe Sims on BBC Radio Bristol. π»

Whilst memory loss and non-physical symptoms are most common, people living with dementia also experience physical challenges.
Thank you to Alive Activities and Dementia Wellbeing for supporting us with this activity.
We had the privilege with Dementia Wellbeing to film with England last week to help raise awareness of dementia symptoms.
Produced by the Alzheimer's Society and the FA as part of their #SupportTheSupporter campaign, we invited three players to put on the Empathy Suit.
We're so egg-cited to see the Crack a Yolk jokes made by 60 pupils from Portishead Primary School! These eggs will be strung into garlands and exchanged with care homes in North Somerset to spread some laughter this spring. πΌ
