As of May 1, 2024, CADTH is now Canada’s Drug Agency (CDA-AMC), as announced in December 2023 by Health Canada and PHAC. The work of the drug agency expands on CADTH’s existing mandate and functions, and includes new work streams. /1

It is an honour be part of Jane’s team. While I am sad to know that there won’t be a second term, I am excited to think about what we can do in the next year together at Queen’s, and what big things she will do after that!

Family doctors are the foundation of Ontario’s health care system, and Ontario needs family doctors spending time with patients, not on paperwork. The OCFP will continue to advocate and bring forward solutions to help reduce the administrative burden.

If we are going to retain the doctors we have and be able to recruit the doctors of the future, we must keep pushing to relieve the admin burden AND ensure compensation keeps pace with inflation and reflects the value of a family doctor.

NEW: Lab-confirmed case of #measles reported in Edmonton by Alberta health officials. Individual was in multiple public settings while infectious, including Edmonton International Airport, Stollery Children's Hospital ER, medical clinic, pharmacy.
