The Newbridge Road in Coleraine has now fully reopened following an earlier road traffic collision.

Newbridge Road in Coleraine is currently closed in the vicinity of the Causeway Hospital due to a road traffic collision. The road is closed to Ballymoney bound traffic between the Lodge Road Roundabout and Wattstown Roundabout. Drivers should seek an alternative route.

Police are investigating an incident in which a male was assaulted on the 2102 hours train from Portrush to Coleraine on Easter Sunday, 31st March 2024.

If you witnessed this assault or have any mobile phone footage contact Police, quoting incident number 1603 – 31/3/24.

Was on the road this morning and there were really, really difficult driving conditions. It seems to have gotten so much worse since then and will now be closed for the foreseeable future. Please take care when out and about, the roads have so much surface water.

If your payment is due on 29 March, 1 April or 2 April, you will still be paid by that date.
All benefits operate on different payment systems, but you will not receive your payment later than the day it would normally be due.
