Such important discussion at this event, incl. research from Annie Irvine. Overarching questions on the conditions driving the rise in prevalence in mental health problems for young people. Emphasis on identifying the root causes and the need for a holistic framework of support
A really important and timely research project looking at young people’s education to work transitions, capturing the important of family, careers advice, the impact of covid and so much more. Great resource and great contribution to the field of #youthstudies
These 3 factors have also been coming up a lot in our Young Lives Young Futures interviews so far.
For example, many young people we've spoken to have turned to family networks for careers support and/or work opportunities - and see them as their most significant source of encouragement.
First findings from Youth Geographies of Inequality show that geographical factors & spatial inequalities play a major role in young people’s access to emotional support.
So does family. And so did Covid.
If you live in #Scarborough please take a look at our research project and how to get involved. We are looking for adults to share their experiences of supporting young people SidewalkYouthProject North Yorkshire Youth North Yorkshire Coast OA

Some really good new research going on in York looking at how places and family can influence young people's emotional lives and well-being. Particularly impressive to see young people at the heart of the research. Aniela Wenham Antonios Roumpakis Youth Geographies of Inequality health.org.uk/funding-and-pa…
