61 days. 19 hours. 14 minutes. That’s how long it took Atlantic Rocks to row from Lanzarote to Antigua, covering an amazing 3200NM. 🚣

A challenging endeavour was made harder by difficult weather conditions & obstacles the team had to overcome.

Throughout, the team supported University of Michigan in their battle to tackle plastic pollution in our oceans 🌎

The team collected samples, recording the latitude & longitude, which will now be sent to the university for analysis.

FLYING FISH STRIKES🐟 🤭

The team had many flying fish strikes to face & body… not to mention the ones ‘creaming in’ on the boat..

As you can judge by Gus’ face..this is not pleasant as not only do they smell HORRENDOUS but create quite the impact🤢

The auto-helm uses power & due to the system failure - they had to fall back to a less technological system to make sure they didn’t end up anywhere other than Antigua. 🧭

Seems straight forward right?🧐😱

Skipper Gus working on the electrics …in the dark🔌in the early hrs of day 6.

The team incurred electric issues with the back-up generator to the primary solar system source - as highlighted in the post on 9 Jan.

It has been a few days since our galloping Gunners Atlantic Rocks touched down to kiss the shores of Antigua. They rowed 3,200 miles in 61 days 19 hours 13 minutes. Here are a few memorable pictures of the crew. Cpl Binns lost 14.6kg and collectively the team lost 68.7kg.

Throughout the row, the team faced millpond conditions making it hard to gather momentum & using LOTS of physical energy 💪 whilst being mentally drained😣

After 4 days at sea, a small hole in 1 of the deck lockers (skipper Gus & Binnsy’s food storage area) was detected😟but after 4hrs repairing, all food was salvaged 🙏
