🚨 The latest Communities NI poverty report paints a stark picture - there has been a significant rise in child poverty.

‼️ 1 in 4 children live in relative poverty

‼️ That’s a rise of 6% on 2021/22

‼️ 1 in 4 children in poverty are food insecure

Last stop on our study trip was meeting the cool & talented Magdalen of Afrocats. Works with women, youths and kids in asylum housing, engaging through dance, art, cooking, safe spaces for conversations, volunteering opportunities in museums... Left us buzzing with new ideas

Second stop in our study visit was Hideaway Youth in Manchester. Thanks for the warm welcome and conversation on joys and challenges of #youthwork in diverse inner city areas. So much in common, and some great learning points for us as in this morning's visit to Kuumba Imani

This week we had our last session with young people on our Blessed Trinity College enrichment programme. They chose a timeframe to look back and identify achievement, challenges and strengths. They've been a pleasure to work with and we wish them the very best for their future
