Networking strategy for 2024:

1. Attend small tech business conferences
2. List 4 5 decision makers who will attend
3. Prepare intelligent questions and suggestions about their business
4. Walk up to them and have a chat
5. Provide value and hopefully create a connection

My networking strategy for this year is to:

Create 1 connection per week with someone in a decision making position.

Network with:

- Engineering managers
- Recruiters in tech companies
- CEOs and CTOs

Tech job market does not respect your years of experience, your shiny resume design, or number of applications.

Tech job market disrespects everybody.

You know what can defeat tech job market?

Connections and networking.

My biggest strength is knowing how to code.

But my biggest weakness is also knowing how to code.

To stop thinking like a programmer and start thinking like a business owner is the hardest things I've ever had to do.
