This week our #articleoftheweek is Article 2. Classes are talking about International Women’s Day, which was celebrated on the 8th March.
Yesterday after school our year 4, 5 and 6 netball team took part in a tournament with other schools. The scores were all based on sporting values like #determination , #respect and #selfbelief . Well done to our netballers for their 88 points achieved!
World Book Day last week at Barlow Hall gave us lots of chances to 'Read Your Way'. Thank you to all the families who came in to share books with the children.

Our Wonderland? installation by Year 2 Barlow Hall Primary School for this years Chorlton Arts Festival will feature ‘tin’ sculptures, mono-printing, large scale ‘metallic’ drawings and chalk pastel work. We were delighted to be awarded the Sandwell Wellbeing Charter Mark today, working in partnership with Catalyst Psychology. We were also privileged to have 2 brilliant footballers from the Manchester City EDS squad to present our award, and answer lots of questions we had for them too! 💙
This year, after listening to the views of our children... we acted. We have offered an increased variety of clubs for children to support their #article31 right to rest, relax, play and join in activities. Here is Mrs Rees's yoga club demonstrating this right perfectly!
World Children's Day - A group of our #RightsRespecting Councillors led assembly today, teaching us about the power of our voices and the difference that we can make. We learned about advocacy and are now busy thinking about how to use our voice to fight for change #RRarticle13
On Friday, we held a cake sale to raise money for Children in Need. Thanks to our wonderful community, we had so many cakes to sell and raised a fantastic £212 to go to this important charity. Thank you. #article24 #article27 #article39
