Truly looking forward to presenting Classic FM Hall of Fame concerts with brilliant CBSO and Michael Seal in Birmingham and Nottingham 19th & 21st April. Details here cbso.co.uk/events/classic…
It’s that time of the month when I get together with my best mate and over quite a few beers, we set the world to rights, mainly the classical music world. I wonder what tonight’s “hot topics” will be?! #ihaveagoodideawhattheywillbe
CONCERT 899 - Tonight, Symphony Hall, Birmingham. ‘Baroque to Broadway’ with the superstar talents of Danielle de Niese and Niall O'Sullivan all accompanied by the world class CBSO - should be a wonderful evening of music making!
Last night I was listening live to Royal Liverpool Philharmonic in classics by Enescu, Prokofiev and Brahms. Today I'm looking forward to hearing them on record in new orchestral music by Dani Howard.
OUT TOMORROW! : Dani Howard's orchestral works featuring Royal Philharmonic and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic with Michael Seal and Pablo Urbina. Glorious stuff. blog.thoroughlygood.me/2024/03/21/new…
BAROQUE to BROADWAY
THIS FRIDAY 22nd MARCH at the Symphony Hall, Birmingham.
I can't wait to join the superstar soprano Danielle de Niese and Maestro Michael Seal with the incredible CBSO to perform some of my favourite pieces.

CONCERT 898 - This morning was the last of 8 Schools Concerts in Liverpool. Superb concerts devised and presented by the best there is, Alasdair Malloy and played by the incredible Royal Liverpool Philharmonic with so much energy all week. Oh and one last thing - Minute Waltz today - 0:49!!!
Another two attempts at the Minute Waltz today with Royal Liverpool Philharmonic - this morning we equalled our best of 0:55, this afternoon, we smashed our record with a 0:52! Maybe with one more concert with Alasdair Malloy tomorrow morning we can get it even lower? Wish us luck!
CONCERTS 896 & 897 - we will be ‘Going for Gold’ at the orchestral Olympics again today. Royal Liverpool Philharmonic seem to have endless energy, probably due to having a truly inspirational coach in Alasdair Malloy - can we get the Minute Waltz down to under 55 seconds? Only time will tell…
