We visited a family that had lived in 3 buildings on the property for 4 generations. They lost everything in a bombing if their residential area and struggle to rebuild at least one house. The matriarch begged “tell the world what they have done” amidst ashes flowers were growing

Not even two days later that town was hit by invading rockets and 5 people were killed. May they rest on peace and may God comfort those in mourning, wounded, and made homeless. Then on to Kyiv. As we approached, I was shocked to see how close the invaders got to the capital city

In #Ternopil , #Ukraine , ICMC SecGen Msgr. Robert Vitillo & Bruce Compton visited the local parish, which has been supplying food, medicine & emergency material to #IDPs .

Approx. 100 adult #IDPs and as many children with special needs have found shelter at the Center. ICMC supports the Center by paying the salaries of 6 psychologists who specialize in #PTSD , #autism , #downsyndrome & more

Finally, visited with psychologists at Lviv Latin Church center - highly trained mental health professionals - we discussed the trauma impact resulting from current war, the fear among children due to constant threats of bombing and frequent air raid confinement in shelters.
