I had a wonderful time catching up with Neglected Books this afternoon. And he gave me a copy of MacDonald Harris’s Mortal Leap. I enjoyed reading Harris’s The Balloonist a couple years ago, and Brad’s Recovered Books series hasn’t steered me wrong yet.

Bob Brigham Maggie Neal Doherty Flathead Beacon Boiler House Press It's a novel from 1941 about a teenage boy growing up in Missoula during WWI and the first year of Prohibition. Loosely autobiographical and full of local details. It'll be coming out at the end of August 2024.
