There are a lot of takes about automated ways to have caught or prevented the xz backdoor sooner, and some things surely could have helped!

None will address the root cause tho - you can’t preserve maintainers’ mental health unless you relieve their capital burden.

Just ended a rant on Reddit with: '[...] there is no one right tool. Everyone should evaluate which tooling works best for them. Furthermore we as developers should appreciate the diversity of tooling we have and not only focus on one stack while disrespecting everything else.'
