Educators engage in small group instruction at different times throughout the day to challenge and extend their thinking. #KinderTDSB

Students had the opportunity to revisit their learning from the morning and also engage in new inquiry, exploration, and play. They used an iPad to document their thinking and learning to share with their friends. #KinderTDSB

After lunch, we gathered on the carpet to discuss this morning’s storybook. The word 'organic' caught our attention, as some students haven’t heard the word before. We used a Frayer Model to co-create a definition.

The students are invited to the carpet for a quick check-in before lunch. They used loose parts to represent how they are feeling today. Once everyone was ready, they walked around and checked out each other’s creations. #KinderTDSB

Meanwhile, our friends are making music in this corner of the classroom. Which sound do you prefer – loud, soft or both?

Over here, we have our future scientists! They are investigating how buoyancy works today. Will the sponge sink or float when it becomes wet?

After creating a 🦋 with loose parts, the student decided to draw a picture of it. They labelled it using a butterfly book they found in the classroom.
