The key question was how high they thought global temperature will rise by 2100. Almost 80% of the respondents said at least 2.5C. Almost half said at least 3C. That is a catastrophic level of heating. Just 6% thought 1.5C would be achieved.

this morning I moderated a virtual panel discussion with cast and crew from The Gilded Age, and at the end of the zoom Carrie Coon jumped out of her chair to show off the t-shirt she was wearing (and everyone else absolutely lost it)

There's no solving climate breakdown. No return to the stable, agriculture-friendly Holocene climate. There's only trying to stop fueling it further & survive the consequences already in store in a way that doesn't harm others' ability to do the same. No other sane option left.
