The Vale of the White Horse, Eric Ravilious, 1939. It depicts the landscape at Uffington, #Oxfordshire (when painted it was in #Berkshire ). The original artwork is in the collection of Tate.

Happened to find myself on the Victoria line today admiring the tiles at Blackhorse Road underground station. They were designed by Hans Unger (1915-1975) in 1969.
