It's 2024. Why are newly announced children's books adding disability to characters as proof they are 'disgusting'? As children's authors, it's our duty to write for *all* children, including children with eye prostheses or blind children.

it's so strange. I never wanted that to be the case. I begged publishing professionals in private. never saw myself as good enough to be an author.
