1st week’s figures are in. 2 air con units plus IR panel and we averaged 10kWh per day to heat the house (specifically just the rooms we need). March long term average for gas heating was 42kWh per day.

Final addition to this week’s green heating upgrade - the bathroom mirror is an infrared panel.

Going greener. Two air to air heat pumps went in today (aka air con). Works a treat and with solar/battery storage will be very cheap to run. Will only need the gas boiler when it’s really cold now.

Looking at COVID-19 admissions this past week, we are seeing a change. More patients are testing positive for the virus and getting sick enough to need ICU. Definitely a second wave but we don't know how big. Sad news but we have reasons to be more confident this time (thread):
